"EH! There is a teacher behind!!"

I Went back to school today to collect my Testimony and all the other cert(but is was not ready). On my way out, one of the student went 'EH! There is a teacher behind!" I don't know what gave him the impression that I'm one of the teacher at my secondary school. Maybe the way I dress, who knows?

This brings me to the issue of being labeled. I'm currently studying Early Childhood (ECH) at Ngee Ann Poly, and I hate the fact that I'm already labeled as a kindergarten teacher! Well, this labelling can't actually be avoided as that is the only job scope I'm given after receiving this diploma, but I don't wish to be labeled that quickly you see, although I know that being a kindergarten teacher is a noble job. As much as I like kids, I would rather work behind the scene like Radio or TV production.

'So what are you doing in this course dude!!' you may ask.

Well by now you should have know that being in ECH isn't my 1st choice, it was my 4th out of 5 choices actually. But I don't mind doing it because like what I've mentioned earlier on, I like kids, and I come to realized that the course is actually not bad especially the part on child's development. Surprisingly it has become more interesting to me now, even more so after next week's attachment.(Besides IT class)

Still, I've got to thank the Lord for providing me with new friends to keep my life at Ngee Ann lively, and for my 'old' friends and teachers who care about my well being at school(: So THANK YOU LORD!!!

I'm listening to Power98 now as there was an interview with MiG Ayesa!! And I realized that his name is pronounced as MiG AyAsa and not AyEsa although it's an 'e', interesting. Well, coincidentally they played the oh-so popular song 'We Will Rock You', the original version sung by Queen after the interview. Comparing with MiG Ayesa's version, voice actually, I'm shock to say that I prefer the version being sung by MiG Ayesa during the musical, it's so much better than the original! I thought that his voice has more of the 'rocker voice' which totally suit the song. No offence to Queen or any thing. Queen is still a brilliant band, no doubt about it, who came out with countless chart-topping songs. My fav. have got to be 'I want to break free', Absolutely love that song.

Honestly, I didn't even know who Queen was, not until I went for the concert. Like I've heard about the band before, not that I didn't, but some how I'm not the 'rocker-chick' kind of person so it wasn't stored in my brain's hard-disk. But after the concert, it totally changed my whole perspective of rock! It is more then just head banging songs. It is something which I think I can come to like, shockingly! Well maybe only MiG Ayesa's CDs..for now. The rest just gives me headache.

His album is out now in ever CD shops in Singapore. It is a self titled album-MiG. Highly recommended(:

First day of school

What can I say about my first day of school hmm... Well I guess after the 4 months break that I had, going back into the study mode was can of difficult, more so in a whole new enviroment. I had to start waking up at 6.30 the latest just to catch the second last bus to school! Further more Jia Bao and Teng Qing said that I should be in school half and hour earlier because I am bound to get lost on the first day. Well, not only did I not get lost, I was actually one of the earliest in class today. Not bad a start right(:

The buzz in the school was a total culture shock for me. Not that it didn't happen in Xin Min. It did, but try multiplying the buzz by at least 10!! It was crazy! The freshmen and the 'old foggies' of the school were like armies of ants, charging towards their ememies(which I think is the teachers and the books for the majority)!! As usual, I see people hugging each other after a long study break. All the norm I guess. I felt like a baby who have just entered into this world. The place, the people all seemed new to me. I think it took me quite a while to get use to the enviroment, breath in the 'poly live air' and officially call Ngee Ann my 2nd home. And like all other freshmen, my friend and I practically spent the most time to find our new classrooms a.k.a battle field. I actually felt shameful for not being able to locate the place despite going for Red Camp 4 and the countless amount of Ngee Ann's open houses (Yu Wen can testify that) Up till then the day was ok for me I guess.(:

But hold on!!! I thought,

Poly = no text book!!

In the end,

Ngee Ann Poly(ECH) = 2 big and heavy textbook!!!

Together with my laptop, I can seriously train up my arm muscles!! But I am thankful that I don't have to carry all that 'weights' for every single class.

To make my day worst, I didn't know that the Korean lesson was postponed to next Monday. I waited excitedly for 2 hours for nothing! Hmm, it is really hard to give Praise to the Lord when all these things happened in one day - on my first day of school some more! But I will not give up! I must fight the good fight!! My goal this week and the subsequent weeks is to bear witness to other people in school by doing a simply action and that is to live a good/proper christian life no matter how influential the people in school may be.

Hence, review for the day. Good - Bad - Worst but, still can be thankful for some things.

To the 2nd day of school - FIGHTING!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!! (Well, a belated one)

This year's birthday is definitely different from the other birthdays I had. For the 1st time after so many years, I didn't had BBQ for my birthday dinner!!! For once a change - my mum dished out really nice plates of chicken chop for the whole family and my friends who came over to hang out.

TADAAAA!!! It's CHOOPER GOOD!!!!

Another thing different this year is I received not one but two cakes this year. 1st one was from my dearest classmates and the second from my LOVELY DADDY!!! I like both of them but I have to say, I really like my what my dad got me because there was strawberries!!! And lots of it!!!(:

Cake #1 - From Pola

Then comes cake #2.

See this is why I like the cake so much!! It is filled with STRAWBERRIES!!! Yum ~~~~

And it's from Chocz!!! Not cheap I guess.

However( why must there be a 'however'!!), my birthday wasn't as exciting as what I planned for it to be! My classmates(Chin Ying, Siti & Lil) and I went to Pasta Mania to have a sumptuous meal!!

Looks good, taste good!

And for the whole entire day, my dear Chin Ying made me wear a silly party hat!!! It was so embarassing! Even more when I had to walk in and out the shopping centre, MRT and buses!!! But I was really shocked that not everyone really stared at me(knowing Singaporeans are super 'KIASU'!!!), besides the 2 malay girls at Pasir Ris MRT. Although I didn't understand what they were saying but I'm 100% sure that they were laughing at me because of that clown hat!! RAH!!! At that time, I really wish I could hide my head in some hole some where!!

But some thing HAD to go terribly wrong on my birthday!! We had no idea Escape closes on weekdays until we were at their doorstep!!! However, a few minutes later, I was super thankful that Escape was closed because the cats and dogs came in to town!! It rained like crazy!! And we would end up wasting money instead of enjoying our time if we were to enter. So we ended up shopping at Bugis street! Instead of me receiving presents, I bought myself a new beg and a new wallet! TOTALLY LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!! (not that I didn't receive any)

Overall, the day was fun! Just hanging out with my dearest friends meant so much to me because I know that it will definitely be very difficult for us to meet, now that most of us are posted into a different school. So all the laughters we had will always remain within me(:

Thanks to everyone who did something for me, be it getting me a present or just a simple sms. Appreciate every single thing. Pastor asked us to look out for the things which we are blessed with last Sunday and I definitely have got to say that I'm truely blessed with so many people who cared for me, even for those whom I've not kept in contact with for a very long time! So thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart!!!

Lastly, here are the other photos

OH YEAH!!!! No more work for me baby!!! FREE!!...well how about only for a week! Still, I can't wait for school to start again(not forgetting the korean lesson which I've enroled for). I'll choose studying over working any time man and trust me on this.
Well, what can I about school. Like what Michael told Nat and I earlier on, we have to be consistent with our studies in order to reach the goals which we have set aside for ourselves. For me, it would be to simply keep my GPA at 3.5 for every modules I'm about to take.

I really wonder whether I can do it, but I guess it would be a perfect time to test my faith that I have in God, trusting Him that He will bring me through each day with His grace. I think what really impacted me was one of the messages which Pastor preached about not long ago about how the Lord wants to take away all our burdens( because He treats all of us as His own children) for us and yet we refuse to let Him do so. I thought that it is very stupid of us to not let Him do it when we ourselves always want to be that 'hero' and yet, at the end of the day we fail to do so. I want to take up this challenge of relying fully on God and not my own strength.

Then you may ask, what am I going do this week since I've got no school or work. Well I wish to apply what is being taught during the Maundy Thursday service about how we should live our lives to the fullest, so that you won't be afraid of death knowing that you have accomplished what is needed for you to do(correct me if I'm wrong). I really like what Pastor talked about time. About how every second is irreplaceable. However, I've got to say that sometimes it definitely feels scary that we are just draining out precious time away even without knowing it! So what I'm going to do is to stop giving myself excuses to put aside all the non-negotiable. For starters I would spend my time reading the MANY Pastor's iCares and daily devotions which I've never fail to push it to one side. Together with the help of the Holy spirit that God has sent to help us, I certainly hope that I could grow more in knowledge and most importantly in Faith.

With that said...

Challenges for the week
1) able to see God's blessings in every moments of my live
2) to have the consistency of spending time with the Lord
3) try to fix up the new bookshelves before the new bed frame comes

Things needed to do this week
1) Get new stationary
2) Get a notebook pouch
3) Get bookshelves fixed up
4) Get time table

Lets practise the 'YES I CAN' spirit!!!

Just came back from this amazing musical called 'We will rock you'! I'm so glad Rachel and I went to it! It really rocks I tell you. I strongly encourage everyone to go. It is definitely two thumbs up and it is worth every single penny! Especially when the Lead is MiG Ayesa!! He is not only SUPER good looking(which I can definitely say Rach will agree with me 100%), he can act well and has an AMAZING voice that totally suits the role which he is acting! And I just realised that he joined this reality show in America called ' Rock Star' or some thing like that. And things can't get any better! Guess who got dead centre seats with a super good view of the whole stage...and MiG Ayesa? WE DID!!! Nothing can be better than this man! ALSO!! EVERY...I really mean everyone in the crew has serious abs!!! Rach and I were super jealous lah after watching this musical. It really made my last day at work feel extra good!!!

And guess who we bumped into at the Esplanade. Tr Yong Jin and gang!! So nice to see someone familiar in the mids of mostly Caucasians(:
This show have to be seen by yourself in order to really know how good it is!! I give it 5 shining pop corns!!!

Definitely 5 shining pop corn for this. I wish i could see it again!!!! (only if the tickets weren't that expensive!! Only if he could just come into Ngee Ann some day to perform!!! - not going to happen unless you are some how related to him)

Just look at his eye! It feels like he is saying to me 'look into my eye....'

He has got Great talent!!! = Chooper Good Looks + GOOD VOICE + he can act really well!!! Whole package I tell you!!!
