Day 2

Attachment day today! And surprisingly I was early for attachment! Since I reached the centre half an hour early, I gotten the chance to sit in or rather stand in during their so-called morning assembly. All the kids from playgroup to kindergarten 2 and the teachers squeezed into a very small air-conditioned room to sing the National anthem and say the pledge. What shocked me the most today was that the children are expected to know our pledge both in English and in Chinese and recite it at every morning assembly. I don't even know the Chinese version of it after living on this earth for the past 18 years as I wasn't told to recite it even though I came from a Chinese school the past 5 years! So for the benefit of those who don't even know that our pledge is translated into Chinese, here is our pledge:

我们是新加坡公民,
誓愿不分种族、言语、宗教,
团结一致,
建设公正平等
的民主社会,
并为实现国家之幸福、繁荣与进步,
共同努力。
(At least I know the 1st line!)
After the attachment, Xin Yi and I decided to collect our Graduation Certificate. Apparently they changed the whole Certificate system. Instead of just presenting us with 2 pieces of paper - our results cert and testimony, the MOE gave us a whole file! In the there was the usual results cert, the School Graduation Cert, the whole list of Co-curriculum stuff I did during my Secondary School life and last but not least my testimony(which I love the most because it's super well writen! Thanks Ms Kuck). Everything looks grand and very professional on the outside and in the inside! I was told there are some changes but I didn't know it would be a drastic change! I feel like I've already graduated from University holding on to the file. I think it is better this way because it will be easier to dig out whenever I need it. Shall take a picture of it the moment I lay my hands on a camera.
Any way, I told my maid not to cook today as I've decided to packet food home in order to save time rather than cooking and washing up since there is only the 2 of us. But! (Why must there always be a 'but') After collecting the Certificate, I realised that I left my water bottle at the Centre! So I had to walk all the way back to retrieve it before buying lunch. I was super hungry at that point of time. Imagine my poor maid at home, waiting for me to get home! I think I starved her to 'death'! So sorry auntie!
Conclusion for the day
Every thing was OK I guess, only thing was that I wasted my whole time snoozing off this cool afternoon! Which is not good because I got to get started in preparing my notes again for the exams which is going to start or have already started for some modules!
